Great to see Cain looking sharp...I honestly think we pretty much have the team we are finishing the season with.

If you get a reliever, who do they replace? Same thing with a starter, plus if you want an impact starter you gotta give up assets. 2015 is not an all in year, it just isn't.

That said, we can still be a wild card with this team. Which would put them ahead of 2011 and 2013.

I'm not convinced that we can't win the division with this team. Then again, if Hamels goes to LA....

We'll get Seaweed back Friday, and hopefully get Oxy healthy to finish the season (seriously, give him August off). If Bum/Hesto/Cain continues to be solid and we get decent production from Peaved/HudTronBigCecum, I believe we have enough RP, hitting and D to take the West.

Stranger things have happened, but as you note the Dodgers will make a move or two, and they have better starting pitching, and a 2 1/2 game lead with 67 to play and a brutal August looming for the home team.

But of course it's possible, and I'll be pulling for it all the way.

Oh we all will, in our own ways :dhd:

It'll be interesting to see what the doyers do. Will they get Hamels, or Cueto, or Kazmir, or Price, Shark, Gallardo,or one of the Puds trio? If they do, will that guy be effective? How is their bullpen going to hold up? Will they have enough D to get it done?

They've been a .500 team since they started 22-10. Are they that team, or the team that's gone 32-32 since? In between?

My point is that despite their bloated payroll, they ain't that good.

Shitty Reds, were up 5-0 in the 2nd game of the DH, now looks like the Cubs will win it

They are definitely not as good as their payroll, agreed.
