Crappy series.

Decent hitting, though only 5-22 with, well, you know.

Only three walks the entire series.

Scored 1st in each game, still lost all three.

Giants have hit 10 homers in the last six games, all solo homers.

7-10 in SDI, but those three were huge.

Yesterday's was a killer.

Agree, something wicked always seems to happen there. Getting swept by that team is bad enough, but the way they got swept is even worse, heading into the long weekend in Washington. They should have taken at least one out of three, instead they finish 2-5 vs. Miami in the season series. The better team did not show up in the series.

It's very disappointing that Matt didn't have a better outing, although it can't be easy to be pitching you first game at the half way point of the season. Hopefully he can round into his '11-'12 form quickly.

Hopefully, Bumgarner will keep this road trip from being a complete disaster. The only positive thing about today's lousy loss is that it took place earlier in the day, just to get it done and out of the way.

Also very disappointing that Fernandez ended up with a quality start after the Giants scored two in the first. This is the highlight of Miami's season, while the Giants should at least be contending for a playoff spot.

JA is gone. Hate to see him go, but his time is up. I hope he retires and takes a behind-the-scenes job with the club.

Romo still has 1 or 2 years on his new deal.

Lopez has 1 year left???

KCYa is expendable. How much will he cost? The Giants are so stocked in the minors with bully arms, I am not sure it makes sense to have him back. Strickland is out of options after this year, so he has a "guaranteed" spot, and could be the closer.

Given SF's stockade of arms, including major-league ready arms. I think SF should explore trading K-Cya to a team in need of bullpen help.

He is a pending FA. No way they will trade a usable piece in the middle of a playoff run.

Romo and Lopez have 1 more year left, at $15M combined.

Casilla has a club option that can become a vesting option with a certain number of innings or games pitched. I think it's worth $5M.

I didnt look it up. If it is a 5M option, than he is definitely worth it. In which case, trading him does, in fact, make sense. 5M for a legit closer could actually bring back a nice piece.

I changed my mind, it was not a crappy series. The outcome was crappy, but the lads battled each game. Pitching could have been better, hitting could have been better. But none of the games was a blow-out, and none of the games were complete shutdown of the Giants' offense.

I am mad that Posey's recent hot streak was wasted in Miami.

I thought with GS down, these would be relatively easy wins. Alas.

I have no good thoughts about the Fish. None.

My dream CF target is Michael Taylor (Nationals) but given he is young and has multi-years before arbitration, it's a pipe dream,

Well, when it's all said and done, it was OKAY for Cain. His velocity was there, his movement was there. His command was definitely off though, and that is what did him in. Granted serving up a homer to the pitcher will rattle the nerves, and it unraveled on him from there.

Missed the game today because of starting time. Ok for Cain being rusty for first start. Hopefully, gets better with more starts

Come on, dude, you are better than this. Is that EVER been how these guys run things? And do they or do they not know how to win championships?

He didn't say "The Giants are morons for not trading Casilla!"

He said "With the abundance of cheaper options, this course should be explored"

I actually think there is value in looking into that. In the off-season.
