Game Thread: 7/19 Sweep the Snakes

I was listening to the game while doing stuff around the house.

The weather here in SD this weekend has been weird. The sky's have absolutely opened up!!

I saw that the baseball game was delayed down there. We need all the water we can get at this point.

Agreed. We have a pretty good-sized reservoir down here too, so hopefully it make some kind of dent. But even that aside, a good rain is good just to clean the air.

These Modern Day Cowboys..the Young Guns known as the SF Giants swept the D-Backs today by winning 2-1 in another Arizona desert gun fight. Bum took the hill for the boys from SF and did not have his best stuff but battled for 5 innings holding the Snakes to 1 ER. Bum notched his 10th win on the season as his Bulls in the Pen did it yet again. 4 scoreless total. Kontos 8th hold one of the hero's today going 2 scoreless innings. Lopez 1/3 ..his 10th hold...Strickland 2/3 10th hold....and Casilla 1 inning for his 24th save.

On offense it was player of the game Maxwell (HOUSE) who hit a solo HR to right to open the scoring in the 2nd inning. He also made a awesome diving catch in left and a charging run in on a single and a strong throw to hold a Arizona runner at third base which was huge. Pence doubled in Joey P. for the 2nd run in the 3rd inning and that was it.

Just a kick ass series as the Giants played together and played tremendous defense including today. Posey caught another beauty as Sanchez sat. Belt looked more relaxed and had his best game in a while with a nice double to left and a walk.

Bochy was the master chess man making all the right moves as his boys came...dropped the hammer on the Snakes and took all three games. The Young Guns are ALIVE...look out here they come. The ball is in Sabes and Evans hands now on improving this dedicated group of Champions . They want it again as a Dynasty team should. On to San Diego where it has been raining hard as their game was postponed. Giants winners of 6 in a row with a head of steam headed West. Momentum on their side..guns held high. The ride continues Monday in San Diego.
