Eh, his OPS is above his career average but he's got 5 other seasons with a better OPS than 2022 (so far). I'd say he's having an average year, it just feels bigger on this team.
Don't quite understand that thinking. If he cannot field or cannot hit, then any hitter in AAA would be at least replacement level to him. That would, hopefully, give him some more time to heal. If it was possible for him to heal, that is.
How so? I struck out the 1st two batters he faced. He gave up a double but proceeded to get the next batter out. The pitch count was a bit high and it wasn't a 1-2-3 inning but it hardly seems rough.
Looks like the Tigers are the only team close to doing what the Giants have done against him but that was just one appearance.
