Mortgaging what future? As long as it isn't Peterson, not much mortgaging going on. Name our top pitching prospects from 5 years ago and where are they now?

Really only Felix has panned out in terms of pitching prospects the last 15 years or so. Unless you count guys like Fister or Tillman who are on other teams but werent highly rated guys if I remember correctly. Thats dating back to the Ryan Anderson and Gil Meche days.

I dont think he was shoved but the tag probably knocked him off balance for sure.

Yeah I didn't think it was a push or a shove, but it was definitely a slight nudge. It's like in the NBA when someone is going up for a 3 and a veteran defender slightly nudges him throwing him off balance. Ref doesn't call a foul, but the shot is way off. This was kinda like that. Veteran play by the second basemen. Unfortunate for the Mariners.

Why a pop-up slide? Just slide and call timeout and we live another day. It is the small things in sports that kill you when you don't have the elite talent throughout your team. Like making contact with runners on 3rd and less than two outs. We didn't and they did hence the score right now.
