When Russell plays like that as their #3.....the Lakers are really tough to beat.
Russell and Reaves sure. The Lakers really need to sign DRus, Reaves, and Walker if possible this summer
At this point I would bring back Reaves, Schroder and Walker....The Lakers really need to sign DRus, Reaves, and Walker if possible this summer

Sign and trade Russell somewhere for some depth and opt out of Beasley's option or trade him somewhere as an expiring....
Sign a few vets to minimum contracts.....
That was supposed to be inconsistent.Russell has been in insistent lately....
You don't give Schroder enough credit. He is a dog on defense and needed with Bev gone. That will be tough to do. Regardless of what happens with Russell, Schroder and Walker will be tough to resign unless they come back for very small raises. Without Bird rights, that's all the Lakers can do.
Rui needs to be retained too. I'm also on board with keeping Russell and expecting Schroder and Walker to end up elsewhere for more money. Beasley likely sticks around, if only because waiving him doesn't net any cap advantage, just less tax.

I believe he wants to stay so give him the small MLE or big MLE, especially if Walker leaves.I'm not discrediting him, just don't see an easy path to keeping him. He signed for the vet min with no Bird rights. Unless the Lakers use an exception on him, he's limited to a small raise from the vet min.
