I'm putting this up because I'm taking the family (and my daughter's boyfriend) to this one too

Which is good news for the Giants, my attendance record is on point. The silver lining of today's loss is we are set to win the series tomorrow, sweeping the Dodgers would be tough

Observations from last night:

I phuking HATE Manfredball. Just an abomination before the Lord.
Matos 0-6 no bueno
Lots of blame to go around, but Baileys 1-6 and abject failure to get a SF B9 ranks highest
Howard isn’t ready
Jelly had a bad day

nothing about this game was tzill approved. Zero.

Could any Giants' fan approve this abomination of a game?

After last night, the Giants are going with a bullpen game today. The lineup:
Soler - dh
Slater - rf
Ramos - cf
Bailey - c
Chapman - 3b
Matos - lf
Villar - 1b
Ahmed - ss
Fitzgerald - 2b
Bivens - p

Considering that it is a bullpen game, who could we reasonably see come in behind Bivens? Howard threw 57 pitches yesterday. He won't pitch today. Hjelle threw 36 pitches yesterday. He won't pitch today. Rodriguez threw 36 pitches yesterday. He won't pitch today. Walker threw 24 pitches yesterday. He is not likely to pitch today. Miller, Taylor Rogers and Doval all threw less than 20 pitches each yesterday. They may come in today. However, since Doval threw 2 days in a row, he may not pitch today unless a save situation requires him.

So here is who I think are most likely to pitch today's game (after Bivens):
Hayden Birdsong (why is he not just starting?)
Luke Jackson
Tyler Rogers
Maybe:
Taylor Rogers
Erik Miller
Camilo Doval

Sounds like Snell is going to make one more rehab start on July 3rd and be activated to start July 9th against Toronto. That is one long rehab assignment. They must be taking the maximum allowable days on him.
It looks like Harrison may be ready earlier than that. He could be activated a couple days earlier than Snell.
Ray may be ready a couple days after Snell is activated.
Cobb looks to restart a rehab assignment tonight in San Jose.

Snell to pitch the 9th?

Do they not care about his well being? Why are they rushing him at such an insane pace? They obviously don’t care about him.

Ok, too dripping with sarcasm, granted. But that statement he made just REALLY pissed me off.

Birdsong is slotted to start Tuesday in Atl; he’s not pitching today

It does look like we will have a full rotation in a week or two

Man Ohtani is along with everything else blazing fast. Almost beat that out.

Soler seems to be heating up lately

Roupp available today
I hadn't heard of that transaction move until today. Roupp up is a bit odd but I guess the Giants saw an opportunity to open a 40 man spot for whichever of Warren or Ray (whoever is ready first) and wanted a fresh arm after last night. Still, Roupp is an odd choice since he is just coming back from an injury.

I did not see the Giants getting 3 innings out of Bivens, nor did I see the offense beating up on Paxton today. Great start so far! I would guess someone else will pitch for the Giants in the 4th. I don't know if Bivens has ever thrown more than 3 innings in a game in his affiliated baseball career.

Two things there. Today the Dodgers lineup is missing a lot of guys like Betts and Smith. And the Giants have a lot of guys that can hit lefties

If he can get Heyward out here, he could maybe even start the 5th?

By the way, remember that Heyward's brother was an outfielder in the Giants' org? Now he is the manager of the ACL team.

I doubt it up to 45 pitches or so, maybe
