Nor am I, but we do need starting pitching, and we have guys who can easily play 1B.

Belt is still young (25), and he has driven in some clutch runs for us this year, and he is hitting above .270.

Tonight's game was one of those that every team has, but we seem to be having more than our share lately.

Are we spoiled, or what?

2 rings in 3 years...yes we are

Still not much power...
I know, he's still got a chance, but it's not at all out of the question that he never really turns into a GOOD hitter (for that position). And as I said, we need a spot for Fatso and/or MVP.

Probably not making any moves this year, but next year? 2015? If this is all he is you gotta consider it.

Adam Dunn has 18 homers and 42 RBIs, and is hitting .182, and strikes out 36% of the time.

I'd call him the new Dave Kingman but that's a major insult to Dave Kingman.

Zito is starting. Services for his father are next month and I guess his dad was sick and his passing at some point was expected. Doesn't make losing him any easier, but Zito will start

Now, maybe the question turns to Gary Brown. If he goes on a tear, maybe he gets the call. Perez had another unimpressive showing at the plate today, Torres is Torres.

Brown has been hitting well lately. Has he turned it around, or just on a streak? We'll see.

Pagan hurt his right leg, so it's not even the left hammy. Speculation now is it might be his right knee.

Things just get worse

Well, maybe not...surgery on a hammy sounds worse (longer recovery) than on a knee, depending...
Sucks either way.

Odd numbered years are not kind to us, health-wise
