Interesting to see Blanco in the lead-off spot instead of Pagan. Also, no Pagan in the 9-hole?

More and more I think Oxy in the 9 hole was an ego-massaging move by Boch. If he's in the 6 hole, he's already properly assuaged, so no need for the "second leadoff" hitter.

Or else Bochy realized that the best strategy is to put your better hitters near the top of the lineup where they get more PAs, and your lesser hitters at the bottom of the lineup where they get fewer PAs. Just saying.

Snark aside, that would mean putting Oxy 8 instead of 9, and always hitting the pitcher 9.

Jeebus....

One thing I have learned from this series...

The Brewers are very un-good.

I seriously believe that a coach could take these three games and use them to teach their kids something.

DEFENSE WINS GAMES. DEFENSE LOSES GAMES.

The Brewers have committed so many errors (not just the ones that show up in the box score) this series...

This Brewer team just is NOT competitive. Still, gotta play who's on your schedule.

On to Florida.

The boys needed to gas up after so many grueling games. No better way to fatten up a bit then with a MLB team in title only.

Here's an update on SP averages (5/6 - 6/15) per game:

IP -- 6.5
H -- 5.2
BB -- 1.6
K -- 5.4
HR -- 0.4 (18.6 IP/HR)
PQS -- 3.9 (DOM)
WHIP -- 1.05

Eventually, I'll go back and calculate the first 6 turns through the rotation.

Here's a breakout of the last 37 games by starter (avg IP, avg H, avg BB, avg K, avg PQS, WHIP, IP/HR):

Bum: 7.3, 4.4, 1.6, 7.8, 4.9, 0.82, 19.4
JC: 7.5, 5.5, 1.6, 6.0, 4.2, 0.94, 60.3
Shark: 6.4, 6.7, 1.1, 5.1, 3.1, 1.22, 9.0
PV: 5.3, 4.4, 1.9, 3.7, 3.4, 1.18, 18.7
Cain: 6.2, 6.0, 2.3, 5.0, 3.8, 1.34, 12.3
Suarez: 5.4, 4.3, 1.3, 2.7, 3.7, 1.04, infinity

Bolded are amazing stats. This is kind of an historic run....

They're 30-36. That's not that bad of a record, but they sure didn't show up this series. C'mon Brewers, man-up, at least for these next few against the dogs.

Right? Perfect game to end a homestand with.
