5 all in 7th. QS for bum barely.
Break up the Giants!!!4 in a row!
They are beginning to tank their tanking.Break up the Giants!!!
7.5 out of the Wild Card.4 in a row!
We could get something for them in a trade...7.5 out of the Wild Card.
If Crawford and Panik would start hitting...
Let's play the "What if" game. What if the Giants continue to play winning baseball for the next month or so and pull to within a game or two of the 2nd Wild Card spot. Do you think FZ will pull a Sabean and either stand pat or try to acquire a player or two, or does he move forward with a re-build?We could get something for them in a trade...

Bum has been nails in the playoffs (granted, its been 5 years since the last run) and so a wildcard win could be very possible, but I cannot see this team doing anything like the 2010, 2012 and 2014 teams did (of course, all of those had some serious questions too).Good question. My guess would be go the route of the rebuild and start prepping for next year. Even if they make the playoffs as the second they won’t go anywhere (I could be wrong) so start looking into the future.

Do we even have the cap space to acquire a quality player if it came to it?Bum has been nails in the playoffs (granted, its been 5 years since the last run) and so a wildcard win could be very possible, but I cannot see this team doing anything like the 2010, 2012 and 2014 teams did (of course, all of those had some serious questions too).

Depends on what one's objectives are.I think if the Giants do make a playoff push and they elect to see what happens, they stand pat and make no deals. There’s a good mixture of veterans and young guys to play it out. Only concern would be which team shows up.
Don't forget 2016 and his duel against Thor.Bum has been nails in the playoffs (granted, its been 5 years since the last run) and so a wildcard win could be very possible, but I cannot see this team doing anything like the 2010, 2012 and 2014 teams did (of course, all of those had some serious questions too).

Absolutely brilliant thinking.Only been 3 years, he was nails in 2016 too

Thanks guys. I couldn't remember if that was 2016 and didn't bother to look it up.Only been 3 years, he was nails in 2016 too
I only remember because i watched the game with three hard core Mets fans from Long Island here in Charlotte. They are good guys but man that game was glorious. When Gonor filled in the offensive half of that classic Earl Weaver special, the silence was deafening. Very similar game to WS Game 5 in 2010.Thanks guys. I couldn't remember if that was 2016 and didn't bother to look it up.
