As ineffective as Bum looks tonight, he has 4 K through 4 IP on only 60 pitches. He could go two more, MAYBE 3 and the end result still be effective.

Definition of an Ace pitcher, even if he doesn't necessarily equate to an Ace, numbers wise.

If Giants are being no-hit, it;s the Bot 9th and SF is down say 6-0.

Are you rooting/hoping for the no-hitter or are you hoping for a hit?

I take the no-hitter, whether I'm at home or at the game. Being one-hit or two-hit still is ugly and a pointless game with ineptness, I just didn't get to watch a no-hitter.

But if it's a no-hitter, at least I saw something notable, that doesn't happen very often.

If I am at the game, maybe things are different.

I openly cheer a great play by the opponent, so I would cheer a no-no by the opposing pitcher as well.
