I was a little bothered to see him in the lineup so soon. I was surprised he didn't make any late appearances since his return. I get the feeling that if Williamson doesn't start showing pop soon that this will happen 2 to 3 times a week.

Since Pence got activated a week ago:
Saturday - did not play
Sunday - pinch hit for pitcher
Monday - started, played left field (Williamson on the bench)
Tuesday - pinch hit for pitcher
Wednesday - pinch hit for pitcher
Thursday - no game
Friday - started, played left field (Williamson on the bench)
Saturday - pinch hit for pitcher
Sunday - started, played left field (Williamson in at right field)
Monday - did not play
Tuesday - started, played left field (Williamon on the bench)

I know, small sample size, but Pence has started 2 of the first 6 games since he was activated. Maybe the frequency decreases but it seems a bit more of a platoon so far.

Edit: And him going 2 for 4 today is probably going to encourage Bochy to play him more.

Pence has now started in left field 4 times in his first 10 games back. That's not a platoon, right?
