It should be all but over now and the Angels Nation knows it. If the Rangers win the next 2 series, the Angels would have to win every game just to make the last series mean anything.

It's over.... i'd bet my life on it. The Rangers have to get swept by a bottom feeder and lose the other series, while anaheim has to win out for it to get interesting again.

What a huge loss for LAA, in extra innings no less. Them knowing that they could win out(which they wont) and all we have to do is win 5 out of 9(which we will) and they still lose the division, has to be rough. LOL@ the ticket holders for the last 3 game series.

Im sticking with Friday night... 2 W's from the Rangers against OAK... and 2 L's from the Angels in their next 3... set up a clinching win on Fri night.

If we're an Angels lose away from clinching and they are losing at the time the Rangers game is over I think a lot of people would stay behind to see what happens! It would be a 1am celebration but it would still be cool. Hopefully we just clinch it with a win!

The Angels aren't dead yet. I don't think they have much of a shot of beating out the Rangers for the division but the AL East teams all play each other down the stretch. If things break their way they could be right there for the Wild Card at the end.

Oh God I wish they hadn't "robustified" the ESPN boards because I would be rasing hell with AF25 and larry14r. Not only did none AF25's predictions about the Angels having 1st place by such and such date never come true on time. LAA never once held sole possession of 1st since before the All-Star break. If anyone ever deserved to have it thrown in their face down the stretch it's him.
