I think leary was the most underrated player on the team during his seasons on cowboys. He deserved the payday
Agreed whole heartedly

Ant given Sunday. Who saw NY beating Denver or Jets taking NE to the limit.
I do think a healthy Dallas D is in the top half of the league.
It would help if Heath wasn't playing that many snaps.
Novarro Bowman better sign. Probably not likely, but this Defense, stinks. Hitchens and Wilson are not the answer. They are almost worse than heath. Bowman would really help our run D.
Agree. I think he only played because Lee is out. I'm a little concerned about Hitchens being 100% for quite a while.Hitchens has played 1 game after coming back very quickly from a pretty devastating injury. The same injury just sidelined JJ Watt for the season. Give the man a chance to get back into the swing of things.
It really starts up front. The Dline has to be better. The whole unit needs to do better. Getting man handled in the run game.
NBowman to visit Oakland....and Dallas
problem is. he doesnt deserve it more than our other three. You cant just pay all 5 lineman top dollar & put a complete team on the field. I understand why we didnt resign Leary.I think leary was the most underrated player on the team during his seasons on cowboys. He deserved the payday
Me too, but it's not like Leary would be in the category of what Martin is about to getproblem is. he doesnt deserve it more than our other three. You cant just pay all 5 lineman top dollar & put a complete team on the field. I understand why we didnt resign Leary.
I forgot we already extended Collins. I guess that was part of the original "wink wink deal" to get him in here. I'd rather have Leary personally, but his contract was twice as long and maybe they still were worried about that knee. At LG his pass protection needed to improve but his run blocking from what I remember was pretty good.Perhaps the organization shouldn't have been so quick to hand L.Collins $8m per year, and instead should have gave it to Leary. To be honest, Collins has gotten by on nothing but hype to this point in his career, his play on the field has left a lot to be desired at LG and RT.
Yeah, it seemed to me that our run game went to a different level when Collins got hurt and Leary replaced him last season. True, we stI'll need to spend on defense.problem is. he doesnt deserve it more than our other three. You cant just pay all 5 lineman top dollar & put a complete team on the field. I understand why we didnt resign Leary.
I am not surprised bowman signed with oakland. He does not have to move and he is an anthem kneeler, and we know jerruhs position on that. Just would not have been the right fit. Right now jaylon looks like a liability in all phases. He probably taking on too much too soon.Have a feeling he lives in Cali.
I'm sure that 154 would drop with more playing time but he does help stretch the field, therefore helping the run game. TW is better going across the middle.Interesting stat. The comment however is a little off base. Not a huge fan of T Will, but he is a way better blocker. Butler pretty much just holds on a lot of the runs his way
Brice Butler - WR - Cowboys
Per Pro Football Focus, Dak Prescott's 154.4 QB rating when targeting Brice Butler is the highest for any receiver with at least 10 targets.
On just 11 looks, Butler has an absurd eight catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns. That's more yards and scores than Terrance Williams, who has drawn eight more targets and played 133 more snaps. It would seem the Cowboys have an easy decision to make, but it's seemed like that since last season.
