Sometimes you get the calls (Vancouver series) and sometimes you don't. The key is scoring and killing penalties at the critical points in a game. A winner will overcome diversity, the Sharks now have that opportunity.

I doubt they can take 4 out of 5 against this team but you never know.

Good game Dave and Nate, there was some good intensity going. Hope we get a several more.

At least the Sharks will get a nice apology from the refs for the Vlasic delay of game off Carter's jersey!

Oh wait... who gives a shit at this point? :L

I hate that saying and home ice doesnt mean anything in hockey. Sharks need to take two at home, and the definitely can.

I just said it because that is what people were saying to the Kings after they went down 2-0 vs the Blues and we know how that turned out.
Both teams have been very good at home and fairly average on the road so anything can happen

Sounds good in principle but the Sharks, collectively as a team, have the mental toughness of my 2-year old daughter... or a bit worse, actually.

They may very well win a home game but they don't really recover from things like these. Oh well.

I heard the 5 on 3 but not the reason why.
It makes me a little sad. I am not a fan of the delay of game for over he glass. Happy the Kings won but wish that penalty didn't exist. Treat it like icing

I'd be OK with it if the puck hadn't clearly gone over the glass off Carter's jersey.

Horrible call at that stage of the game... even worse to award a fucking 5-on-3. :L

I will watch the game tomorrow and see for myself
Been posting from my iphone so no way I can see a puck
I am a believer in all calls even-ing out over time so I expect to get screwed soon and we will see how I react
:gaah:

The last couple of minutes of this game had to be hard to watch for Sharks fans. I feel bad for you. That was a brutal way to lose a game.

McClellan thinks your team can move on from this quickly. I don't think he could have said anything else though. This is going to be tough. Be loud for Game 3. Maybe you can will them to a victory.

Post game bullets:

Kings win their sixth game in a row. Is that their longest streak of the season? Yes

It’s the longest Kings’ winning streak since they won 8 in a row last playoffs.

Tyler Toffoli. TT. T2. Drew the penalty. Then made the Lewis goal happen.

Trevor Lewis is in an awful lot of playoff highlights.

Pavelski probably wishes he scored on that rebound.

Kings go up 2-0 in a playoff series at home for only the second time in franchise history, and the first time since 1968.

The Kings lost that 1968 series, to the North Stars. But since then, they’re 5-0 in series in which they’re leading 2-0 after two games.

The last four of those were last year.

The Sharks are 0-8 in series in which they are down 0-2 after two games.

One other post-game bullet:

Dutter apparently had to pay $79 for a new pair of reading glasses (lost his pair earlier in the day). I guess you can get 3 pairs at Costco for $20.

Another bullet point
The Kings are 6-0 when I wear my 2012 SC replica ring
8-0 lifetime

I didnt see that hit during the game. Getting a soda? I would like to see a video of it because i have heard other people say the same thing.
I dont think that Torres targetted the head. I do think he hit it. Like high sticking they are looking at result more than intent

This is a little late but here is a replay of the head shot Penner gave Wingels in game one that I mentioned.

too bad Penner plays for the kings and is not named Raffi Torres or maybe there would have been a suspension there.

Just my opinion, but Penner hits the shoulder and upper chest area of Wingels and there is minimal if any contact to the head (which is quite a difference from the Torres hit on Stoll). It could also be the reason that Wingels was able to stay in the game and Stoll was forced to leave and has yet to return for the Kings.

The last time two Stanley Cup winning goalies faced each other was 2009 NJ (brodeur) and Carolina (Ward)

I agree
may be my kings coloured glasses but it looked like he hit around the collar bone.
