As for my best, I'm going to exclude anyone who re-signed with their previous teams. This was actually very difficult once you exclude those who re-signed with their previous team.

  1. Kevin Durant
  2. Eric Gordon
  3. Dion Waiters
  4. James Johnson
  5. D-Wade

I dont have Ezeli on my worst because he has very little guaranteed money passed this year. Any of those teams would LOVE to trade a Turner or Parsons or Mozgov or Deng or Lin for a guy with very little guaranteed money after this year.

Houston paid a ton for Anderson and Gordon- but you cant argue with results and both guys fit their system very well.

I saw Mozgov and Deng BOTH took DNP-CD's the other night. In the FIRST year of 4 year deals. Good lord.

Parsons really might be the worst though just because of the amount of money- with his age at least their is a sliver of hope he comes around- but man- that looks REALLY bad.

Yeah, I thought about that after the fact. He's a relatively easy out for Portland in terms of his contract and money.

I'd probably add a three way tie between the other Portland signings in Crabbe, Turner and Leonard. Even though Crabbe and Turner are making more money Leonard might be the worst. You're paying Leonard 11M a year to come off the bench and give you 5.5 and 3.2reb off the bench. You could find just about anyone off the street to come in and give you those numbers on a minimum contract.

Tyler seems like a steal, if you really evaluate the list.

Yep one guy who has not been on any list so far is Kent Bazemore. I feel like he got really overpaid to be a mediocre basketball player. 4 yr/72 for that guy? Rockets must be thanking their lucky stars that he turned them down and went back to Atlanta. His decision allowed them to acquire Gordon

To be fair, I think both Mozgof and Deng would be getting more playing time if the team was remotely competitive. Seeing as they're out of contention for anything, their DNP-CD's are of less significance if say they were in a playoff hunt.

Bazemore and Crabbe have very similar deals and actually very similar production. Both have been very under-achieving for their respective teams.

Also Bismack Biyombo played one good playoff series into a huge contract. He has Adonal Foyle 2.0 written all over him. Defensive specialist, who probably won't do much else. Considering he's a backup center at this point and you're paying 18M a year is kind of crazy.

Guys who play good for one playoffs series is always shady to me. He was a bad player in Charlotte so no surprise he is nothing special. Kinda reminds me of Jerome James who had one good playoffs run with the Supersonics then the Knicks threw money at him to be a bust lol

One route I'm really, really surprised more teams didn't explore was ridiculously overpaying mediocre free agents on a one year deal. It would essentially help roll over your cap space to the following year. I mean you'd have a guy like Jeff Green who took a 1 year 15M deal. I'm sure others might have followed suit. You wouldn't be the same talent wise, but you'd have so much cap space to roll over to the following year to keep going for the home runs instead of retaining mediocre players.

If list was top 10, he makes it.
