Scenario question…

pitcher records an out. Then his defense makes 2 errors behind him. I believe that for as long as he is in this inning, any runs he gives up are unearned.

However, if a new pitcher comes in, are his runs earned or unearned? The team should have been out of the inning, but all of that happened before he entered the game.

As a catcher, you would think he's got a leg up on figuring out other pitchers.

Maybe he's concentrating more on handling our own pitchers first.
