Game Thread: #5/#5 Florida State at #3/#4 Clemson

I have read that Clemson doesnt have a solid run defense, but I think they'll be pumped with so much on the line. If FSU doesnt turn it over, I think their defense could give boyd some problems, but FSU has to be able to take an early punch.

See Pitt, Nevada, and BC games. They were down at the end of the first quarter in all of them. FSU can take an early punch. Before the Maryland game I thought that the FSU team this year likes to be down before they step on the gas. FSU is outscoring their opponents so far like 130 something to 23 in the 2nd half. The 2nd quarter and 2nd half have been the best for both the defense and offense.

Good thing about the run is that we now have 2 really big RBs in James Wilder Jr and Karlos Williams(converted from Safety). Then Devonte Freeman is not as big, but just as strong. Will be an interesting matchup.

I watched an interview of Jimbo Fisher yesterday and he was talking about how they are recruiting and bringing in so many more DBs because of teams like Clemson and the other up tempo offenses. Another interesting thing over the next few years to see how it plays out.

Yeah Clemson is a different beast. But so is FSU this year on offense compared to previous years. Every "expert" thought that Maryland would test FSU and push them more than BC. That did not work out either. Each game is different, but when half of your games you were down at the end of the first quarter and then got rolling that shows me a team does not get flustered.


We shall see.

I'm not getting carried away with too much tomorrow. I'll probably just marinade some boneless, skinless thighs and throw those on the grill around 6. Throw some taters in the oven en sech.

I wish I was making something good, but I am not. No time. Have to have the boy at his basketball game at 8am until 10 am. Then I was told by the wife we have to go get him a Halloween costume. So there goes another 3 hrs between driving and the wife being picky as hell. THen get back and have to rake leaves for about 5 hrs(note to self get trees cut down next year). By the time I get everything done we will probably order a pizza or something.

I can't decide if I want to see Clemson ruined this week or if I want them to make it to Columbia undefeated and have their dreams shattered here.

But I'm picking FloStUn, so that I can say Clemson is overrated.

I got FSU!!! Should be a great game.

Not a Clemson hater I just prefer hard hitting defensive teams.

I really don't see how FSU is favored though. Clemson has owned them in Death Valley, is ranked higher and has a more experienced team.
