I was unable to find how many runs he gave up though. Looked via ESPN and Baseball Ref but can't find it

The NBA adopted a shot clock. When Hargrove was active, there was talk of the MLB adopting a similar sort of thing. The guy's AB's would last a long time. With very few FPOM!
