The Giants are having fun and no one is having more fun then Michael Morse. Morse launched a long HR to left center to tie the game early on and then in the 8th the Cards walked the Panda to face him and Morse delivered a 2 run double to put away the Cards.
What a wonderful game as there were 5 lead changes in this fight. Blanco had 3 hits . The Panda and his boots are on fire as he hit a HR and also scored 2 runs. Pagan had a big hit to score Blanco in the 8th. Hicks had a hit and a run scored.
Vogelsong started and did alright giving up 4 ER over 6 1/3 innings. Lopez and Machi were nails once again and Romo scared us all with a shaky 9th but got it done earning his 17 th save. Machi now has lowered his ERA to 0.33 witch is so awesome it's funny.
Tonight belonged to Morse who continues to shine and somewhere in the clubhouse men are walking around in gladiator helmets and cowboy boots . I would not expect anything less from the loosest team in MLB.
A great win to start the road trip and Friday night becomes must watch TV as Bumgarner faces off against Wainwright in what should be a pitchers duel. I hope Pablo loans those boots back to Bum for the night to bring him luck.
Comeback win to open the series. Beast had some great ABs today, and got the biggest one off a very tough pitcher. Pablo 9 straight games with an RBI, first since Bonds in 2009, and he's hitting .419 in those games.
Volgy was alright, certainly kept the Giants in the game. Romo was scary, but still got the job done in the end.
Great to get a win with your "5th starter" out there to open a series on the road. Now we got the top of the pitching order for the next 3. Hope Cain is alright to go on Saturday.
