Tonight was pretty much the platonic ideal of a tzill-approved game.

A solid 4-0 win over Cubs as Hudson's River of Dreams keeps on flowing freely

What can you say but Tim Hudson throws another brilliant ballgame tonight going 7 innings , no ER , on 96 pitches ,striking out 5 batters and now is 5-2 with a 1.92 ERA on this 2014 campaign. Hudson is the coolest cat going right now on the mound. Nothing flusters this dude. Hudson does not give away free passes and he did that again tonight. A man on a mission. He should be a All -Star this year.

On offense Pence had a 2-3 night with a walk and a run scored. Buster Posey had two sac flies and just missed a Grand Slam by about a inch on his bat. Pagan was 2-4 with two runs scored and did his thing. The Panda had another RBI. Morse is really heating up going 2-4 including another double and now has a .547 SLG this year.

Affeldt and Machi threw two scoreless innings to close out a solid win. Rubber game is Wednesday in a afternoon delight start. Lincecum gets the call which will most likely be caught by Sanchez.

This game belonged to Hudson and his river of dreams continues to flow freely that looks to flow into a McCovey Cove victory finish in the fall. This Giants team is solid as a rock down to it's soul.
