Can't the Giants put in a defensive SS in these late innings. I love what Luci is doing with the bat, but his errors have been costly.

I have a few ideas. Don’t release or trade Ahmed when he comes back instead, bring him in for games that are close in the late innings. Also games that we need to win don’t bring in Doval in unless we have a 4-5 run lead.

It’s too bad that they need those comebacks but it’s exciting and it’s going to benefit the Giants confidence-wise down the road

I think it is time to end Luciano’s SS career. I have said, almost from day 1, years ago, that he would not stick at SS. He is proving me right almost daily at this point.

Doval wasn’t totally crisp, but he got bent over by Yaz and Lucky.

4 consecutive games where the winning team came back from a 4-run deficit to win. Absolutely incredible.

And that play to end the game is one of the greatest plays I have ever seen from a 3B. I have seen Arenado do some filthy things against the Giants when he was with Colorado, but I think Chapman may have already passed him as the best defensive 3B I have ever seen regularly in Giants games (including opposition, obviously).

I think it is time to end Luciano’s SS career. I have said, almost from day 1, years ago, that he would not stick at SS. He is proving me right almost daily at this point.

I’m liking Luciano’s hitting just need that back up to improve the teams fielding

Not sure there's room for him in the outfield especially when Conforto is back. And of course next year with Lee, Ramos, Conforto, etc.

Especially considering the situation, literally saved a huge comeback win on the road...3-2 count 2 outs bottom ninth bases loaded up only 1 run. Doesn't get more dramatic than that.

I just miss the first 5 months of last year when he would come in and just destroy the other team, once he added that 3rd pitch. I guess the league is starting to catch up a bit. He's still excellent and is our closer but not best in the league like he was in the conversation for last year
