Strickland apparently learned a changeup and a 2 seam fastball, so maybe he can be the BP stud we thought he might with that velocity. Things change, players get better (and worse)...

He was thrown into the fire at the end of a full season. Real tough to judge a guy with next to zero MLB experience by thrusting him onto the biggest stage there is.

That aside, his prob had always been his lack of secondary stuff. Now he has those pitches that should at least make the hitter think elsewhere from the 100 MOH heat. And having to split your attention from that is deadly.
