He's out of whack mechanically. The stuff is still there, one need looks no further than the strike outs he still managing to pill up. Yeah, the velocity is still meh compared to what he used to be, but guys like Weaver are still 'ace' material with a high 80s low 90s FB. Best we can do is hope he turns it around. As is, best he can hope for is a high 3s ERA, and that's with a few shutouts sprinkled in.

Doubt it. He was offereda 9 figure extension; his choice to turn that down. Ubaldo was on a retardedly team friendly deal that paid him a total of 14mil, one he inked cause he was a dirt poor latino from a third world country. He would have been insane to turn any guaranteed millions down. Tim has made 3 times as much already, and is currently on a 2 year 40 million dollar deal.
