As bad as Soler has been, his OPS is still better than 5 other players in today's starting lineup. That is sad.

Harry has thrown a lot of pitches through 4 innings (82)

Red Sux starter threw 50 pitches through 4 innings
And curiously, the Red Sox pulled their starter after just 53 pitches, after getting the first batter in the 5th out. I guess he was not a starter.

I think the more accurate statement would be…

“Giants hitters saw 50 pitches through 4 innings”

While both statements are 100% true, one tells a more accurate contextual story.

I will accept this game.

Harry not sharp but hung on for five and dive.

Miller looks like he might be a legit piece. With Doval, Tyler, Taylor, Walker, Jackson...thats 6/8 of a bullpen.

Lee hit into some bad luck. Soler still strrrrruuuuuggllling.
Forto slumping now
Chappy didn't K!!
Yazbombs are always nice.
Ahmed with a SF and defensive play of the game.

This team might not be done (if they call up Black).

On to Philly, shit's about to get SERIOUS. New Ace, Winning Time, Spider, hopefully Black.

I am excited about Black as well. But what happens when Snell comes back? And/or Cobb? And/or Ray?

Speaking of league average, here's what the average MLB hitter has done this year:

.239 AVG
.313 OBP
.383 SLG

So ... before being disgusted by someone's .230-something batting average, just know that that's normal in 2024.

If they win 2 of 3 in Philly it will be a huge and unlikely win. Sunday they are the game of the week on national TV

How is it that Lee just hit into some bad luck but Soler is struggling and Conforto is slumping? All three look bad right now
