Maybe a knee jerk reaction but considering today's game he may not be the first guy they turn to. But I've been wrong before.
I’m ok if they go with Harrison, but if they go with Whisenhunt over Birdy then this org is silly and should trade him asap.

I personally think he has the highest ceiling between him and Harry, but ok if they try Harry first.

Show us on the doll where the bad man who told the truth hurt you.
Keep flailing way trying to put lipstick on your crazy ass pig lmao.

You want to bail in the 2nd inning? Go ahead...but that's not the goal. You want the attention. You want us all grumpy like you. You want to be 'smart' if they lose and shrug if they win. Can't just turn off the game, need to make your big announcement first. Then come back after to shit on other fans who aren't lunatics who enjoy watching their team battle and come bck and have an exciting 9th inning, after coming back and winning the game before, another game you didn't see.

We're all pals here, you can do what you want. But you're being a whiny puss because we don't watch games like your lunatic ass.

So again, just shut up lol. We don't need another Nolan here.

Birdy's been doing pretty good in his relief role (today notwithstanding). Keep him there to gain more experience. Bound to be another starting spot opening up later this season, then he can move.

Except Whisenhunt is the only one of the three stretched for starting right now. Birdsong hasn't started since spring training and Harrison has been a reliever for over a week. He'd get back to starter form faster than Birdsong but Whisenhunt would be the easiest to plug in. And the Giants have an opening on the 40 man roster so they wouldn't necessarily lose anyone by adding him.

You've decided "the goal."
You've decided I want you guys to be grumpy.
You've decided what I "want."

If you two get a room, I’ll stall your fees until you’re both fully compensated.

I think when the Giants signed Jordan Hicks to transition to starter, they expected (hoped?) that his strikeout rate would stay reasonably high. That has not been the case at all. The sinker/sweeper are not missing as many bats as they did when he was a reliever. The sinker is still getting a lot of ground ball contact, but less swing and miss. The change in velo is likely one of the factors. The sweeper is not getting as much swing-and-miss either. The horizontal movement is not as pronounced, meaning it is not sweeping as much as in the past. And, he's throwing those pitches 85% of the time. Hicks has a four-seamer and splitter. He needs to mix those in more, especially the splitter. That was a good pitch last season. Right now, he's too predictable and struggles once a runner reaches base. So, pitch mix is part of the problem. He's also become more of a pitch-to-contact starter, which makes some of his success dependent on BABIP. As we have seen this season, the BABIP was not in his favor.
