How often has Boch tried to squeeze that 1 additional inning out of Zeets only to have the the fire department called? It worked this time (and I am THRILLED to be wrong), but this was like going all in on a bluff, getting called, then hitting runner-runner to hit the inside straight.

Im sure having the pill HR helped out a lot. He had a bigger chip stack when he made his bluff.

As for the bench, I understand they would like Posey to not play, but outside of that, who?

No "leadoff" an inning types available is my guess. Maybe save huff and Belt as power bats (pains me to type that) and saving Nate for defensive replacement mode. Don't wanna lose Blanco or Pagan's bats this early.
