Defensive line depth is the weak link in the defensive chain. I'm all for bringing in some guys that can line up 6-10 plays a game and spell McDonald and JSmith.

Being out of work might improve that attitude.

Regardless he would just be brought in for depth and to spell the defensive line to keep them fresher.

Our D-line did look out of gas during the 4th quarter and overtime on Sunday. There was a play I remember where Soap (I think) just threw himself at the feet of the center and didn't make much effort to get up. Having more depth for rotation would be helpful.

wasn't RJF able to play all line positions? Dobbs was progressing ok last season, why not use him more?

wasn't Tukuafu brought in for D-line?

i get the multiple positions for Dobbs and Tukuafu, but if they're needed back at D-line, shouldn't they go back? i'd think letting our own 'future' linemen play, is better than bringing in Edwards? unless of course, Edwards is still that much better?

Dobbs was suspended by coaches vs the rams. He was one guy I'd hope to see big improvement carrying over from last season.... still have hope but the play isn't there.

No and he is on the 53 but he is never active. Probably will see action next year since Soap is probably gone and RJF will be our starting NT.
