Only topped 60yards/game once in his career.

But Washington has money to spend. He’s not gonna hurt that offense.
No. Its a great move by them honestly. Low risk, huge upside. My comment was more in general with the fans and media since hes been available. Feel like everyone was fawning for him.

I was shocked to read this and could not believe it's true so I took a look. As I suspectected you are full of shit, Deebo topped 60 receiving yards in a game 6 times in 2023 alone, and that was not even one of his big years and does not including his rushing totals. Why would you even make this claim?

As for the trade Samuel is a classic bounce back in a new environment candidate. Even if it's a one year rental a 5th was a good investment, they needed more weapons desperately. A QB like Jayden can make pedestrian receivers productive but they clearly needed more explosive players.

He played in 15 games in each of the last 2 seasons. The injury concerns are overblown.

Fair trade. Samuel might otherwise have been a cut candidate. The Commanders become responsible for his $17.55M in salary and appearance bonuses whilst the 49ers instead have to account for $20.5M in accelerated dead money. Samuel's money isn't guaranteed so if he looks like a $12M player in camp he could still end up being released.

Pretty positive hes talking about his season average. Hes only averaged 60 a game once year. Came super closes in 2022 to hitting it again.Add in rushing and he has it.

Wasnt super hard to figure out before you blasted off.

You may be right but he sure wasn't clear. But as you pointed out he was wrong anyway as he did it in 2021. If we add in the rushing yards he averaged over 60 yards a game in 2019 and 2022 as well.

Who knows what he has now but to diminish what kind of player Deebo Samuel has been is kind of dumb.

Ah we are back to this again, same old broken record from the fan of a broken team. Convenient how you overlook all the posts I make about players not on the Washington Commanders.

Yeah, Deebo has never been a good pure WR. Not a good route runner and doesn't create a lot of separation. His value is that he runs like a RB. His biggest contribution in 2024 was as a kick returner.

I remember when he was a hybrid but wanted to be a receiver I asked here if he was really a top receiver. Posters made convincing arguments that he was. When you average 14 yards a reception you are a dangerous receiver, he just does it differently than Cooper Kupp.

I call guys like this “gadget guys”. They’re just football players. Deebo needs some injury luck. He plays a physical brand of football and that can come with a price. It seems to have impacted him each of the last 3 seasons. I think he’s a nice complement to McLaurin. If a team wants to play two high safeties vs Washington, he opens up versatility in that play book. I think he will especially be a tough piece to defend if he is used in motion along with Daniels at QB and maybe a dynamic rookie RB. I like this draft for RB this year. Think there is value late. I don’t think either of the guys they had this year were all that great. Deebo, Daniels, and a dynamic young RB could really give the defense a ton to have to plan for. I think Kingsbury could really take advantage of defenses with this personnel.

Assuming he remains healthy, Deebo should give a solid boost to the Commanders offense. And even if he turns out to be a rental, costing them some cash and a 5th rounder is worth it.

I didn’t make that claim.

60/game does mean one game. It’s an average, of all the games he plays in during the season. Do your research again. Then come back and blow me, you ugly mongaloid.
