The 49ers will be fine. I'm an objective fan, no real homerdom in me. It all boils down to Kaepernick and nothing more. He has to be able to play big time defenses and make plays. I think he gets rattled to easily and is going to have to improve immensely, in order for the Niners to make a serious run in the playoffs. Against great defenses he folds, there should be no denying that. He has to remain calm under fire or we aren't going anywhere. They should beat NOLA and have a little more confidence when playing the Hawks. I honestly put it all on him. They got rid of the game manager, but he was a better QB to have against really good defenses like Carolina and Seattle. He did just enough to get them a win. Let's see if Kaep can morph into a game manger when it's called for.

Is that what you really want though? For your star QB to have to completely change his game when he steps up in competition on defense? I don't think his game needs to change as much as his mental maturity, getting way to overhyped when something goes well and vanishing when things are going well.

I think its not the lack of maturity that hurts Kaep, its his lack of football IQ. In Madden he would be awesome because you would be making all the decisions for him and he has a great skillset. The coaches need to spend so much extra time trying to anticipate where his open guys will be for him during game prep so they can essentially try to make his reads for him well before the game actually starts. With amazing coaching, you can mask his lack of IQ but we simply haven't seen that too much this year. That would explain why he had such an amazing week 1 and hasn't repeated it since: the coaches had a LOT of time to game prep for week 1

Absolutely loving the sophomoric attempts at deflection, but as I stated in my post, I didn't decide anything. Your fellow niners fans did.

I didn't watch the game and so I can't speak as to how close the game felt and it would be silly for me to say otherwise. It would also be silly to simply state that EVERY time a team loses by one point, that the score accurately reflected the play on the field. Your fellow niner posters commented on how the score did not accurately reflect how the flow of the game felt to them. And that is what I posted about. Feel free to argue subjective opinions but trying to spin objective data is misleading and stupid, if not downright unethical.

Sophomoric attempts at deflection? Then you use your impression of other 49er fans in some other thread as an argument? The 49ers Panthers game was a blowout in spite of the 9-10 score, based on the tone you observed in a 49er forum thread during the game?

Classic shit Wolverine... keep it up.

You should change your avatar, but it does become you and I can see why you use it.
Appears to try hard, yet failure exists due to bonehead decisions.
