I wouldn't go that far. I think Jeff fisher will have the Rams competing this year and the Cardinals will be tough. I'm still not convinced that we just didn't get pretty lucky last year and just have a perfect storm of things go right for us. The tough schedule this year should show us something.

Mediocre teams? Really? That's a load of crap. He's certainly not a bad coach but I would put Coughlin, McCarthy, Payton, Tomlin, and John Harbaugh ahead of him just off the top of my head. And he has had plenty of talent over the years so that argument doesn't hold any weight at all.

Name them. He had only four all pros in 16 seasons, Eddie george, Steve mcNair, Javon Kearse and Albert Haynesworth. Only two in a skill position. He made that team.

Back on topic.... I really like what they did in this draft. They also set themselves up nicely for next year with some of these trades:

Through two trades, the 49ers have turned the third-round pick in this year's draft into two sixth-round picks in this draft, and third-round and sixth-round picks in next year's draft.

The 49ers now possess 11 picks in next year's draft, with two picks in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds. In addition to the seven standard picks and the two they acquired through trades Saturday, the 49ers acquired a seventh-round pick from the Bengals in the Taylor Mays trade. And they acquired a fifth-round pick from the Colts in Friday's trade.

It gives them some flexibility next year to move up if needed. So far well done.
