I hope that is true. He was popping some 3 and 4 yard runs in the 2nd half. San Fran also has a good D. Going to be another low scoring games as long as TOs don't kill one of the teams.

losing conference games at this point affects tie breakers which could lead to our demise in the playoff hunt . the 49ers are possibly in direct competition for a possible WC birth . we lost to the lions so if we tie them we are out .

Yep, Las Vegas has the total set at 43 which is low scoring for a game in today's NFL.

I understand all of that but all of the contenders for a playoff spot have four games left and as usual it will probably come down to the final week of the regular season before all of these playoff spots are decided.

8-8 under the scenario I laid out is ok . It’s not about wanting us to be on the playoffs . It’s about reaching a real standard that says you belong there . Losing teams don’t belong there , winning teams do

Now if we make the playoffs will I jump off a bridge ? No

I will hope we go to the super bowl , but realistically if we are going to be a losing team I’d rather have better draft position then be someplace where we don’t belong yet
