Quick was the only reason the Kings were in the game for 60 minutes, Kings were doing well in OT and Quick flubs it. I don't completely blame him. He was looki9ng for someone to pass to and no one was there.

I'm sure there's been one since but the last one I remember was the Oilers (Fernando Pisani?) scoring against the Canes in Game 5 of the SCF in 2006.

Quick is a known puck flubber, Kings have a 4 minute PP, Doughty should have covered the forward in the zone and let Quick put it to an open spot.

Doughtys play there is to get to the corner first to receive an outlet pass from quick ... He didnt get there ... And there was no puck support by the other kings dman in the other corner ... Whoever it was, he was MIA

Kevin weekes tried to explain this post game on hnic but glen healy and pj stock shouted him down and put all the blame on quick

The other camera angle from the end boards cam showed Carter came into the zone coasting towards the RW side. Looks to me like Quick wanted to backhand around to the LW side (which is the best play considering Steen is coming forward to the opposite side of the net) but when Quick looked up and saw Carter NOT at the half wall he went with option 2 and chunked it.

He should have never been going to Doughty in the first place.

Starting at Squirt level, you teach your forwards to go to the half wall when your team controls the puck behind your net. Elementary. Lil' Jeffy and his defensive prowess strikes again.

I hope Quick doesn't take too much heat. He was stellar in that game.

Have we heard from any of the LA players yet? Is it just "bad break, we'll move on and try to forget about it, we take game 2 and we're in good shape, blah blah" talk?

I'd be curious to see who (besides Quick) steps up and takes some blame there... if only to make sure Quick doesn't feel 100% responsible so it doesn't mess with his head too much, etc.

I think the Blues threw everything they had at the Kings and had to get a lucky break just to win the game.
