I missed one, the Oorang Indians (yes that was a legitimate NFL team for two years, 1922 and 1923) shared a name with the Cleveland Indians for those two seasons.

There have been 15 walk off home runs hit in World Series history, 13 of them were hit when the score was tied. Can you name the only two that were hit when the team was trailing? Name the year, the batter, and the opposing pitcher.

Only 1 comes right to mind. 1993, Joe Carter vs. Wild Thing Williams.

Im finding conflicting info on the Ol' interwebs now. My answer was Dan Patrick, but it seems several journalists are creditted with drawing the meaning out of Eckersly. I should have asked the question before bringing up Ecks involvement it seems. Dang it, Im terrible at this. :L

No worries my good man. I suffer from the same affliction, and am a bad "asker" as well. Which is why I stick to answering.

Here is to hoping that we both can come up with a good asker, as, I myself still have 2 hours of work time yet to kill....

I just realized, another city you could add to the list of cities that have REACHED a final in all four sports is Minneapolis as they won multiple titles as the Minneapolis Lakers, reached a cup final as the North Stars in 1981, and the Vikings have been to 4 Super Bowls

I am sure you meant the North Stars made the finals in 1991. What a great SCFs that was!!

I actually did mean 1981 as they made it that year as well (lost to the Islanders). I simply missed 1991

There have been 40 occurrences in the Big 4 sports where two franchises have faced each other in the championship in back to back years. With that in mind, can you answer any of the following questions:

1. What is the most recent occurrence in each of the Big 4 sports leagues?
2. What are the three occurrences when two franchises have met in the championship in 3 consecutive seasons?
3. What are the only two occurrences in baseball that did not involve the Yankees?
4. What are the only two match ups that have occurred more than twice?
