It's a minor, so they didn't call it to the head, but I think hitting from that angle is illegal now as a minor penalty, even if it is on the shoulder.

EDIT: Oh, they called it elbowing? That's not right. It could definitely be a roughing.

Well, my complaint was about reffing, but now they've been equally atrocious on both sides. Just sucks when they give them the lead goal off a missed call...but the Pens have had ample opportunity to respond on the PP. I can't understand why it's this bad. Just can't.

They thought about calling the new rule on Malone, but that's a major, so they decided to call him for elbowing instead.

If I were Tampa, I'd just take a penalty anytime I was in trouble. Pens special teams is making this series much closer than it deserves to be.

Because every team in the league knows its pass, pass, pass. So you pressure the man with the puck and force a turnover because they know they refuse to get the puck to the net.

This is only when they win a faceoff (which is never) or gain the zone on a rush (which is once a month).

The thing is, they're barely even passing on the PP, every guy holds onto the puck for about 5-8 seconds then passes. It give the PKers far too much time to adjust their positioning. The successful PPs are the ones that have quick movement and good passing, as well as big shots from the point. The reason those point shots work is because the QUICK passing opens up lanes. Nearly every good PP has a similar formula...it's not a big secret.
