The line up, including the subs, had a collective batting average of .144. Theoretically we could round it up to 145 but that doesn't make it any better, does it?

That seems to be the right thing to do. Why be a hog and get two runs with one hit? The polite thing would be one run for one hit. Anything more is just rude.

In recent years, the Giants would have scored the initial runner, and then had the guy who hit the homer tagged out at home somehow.
