Seems like the logic should be the opposite, if you want Hamilton to get good pitches to hit, put him in front of Pujols, the Angels most patient hitter
The last thing you would want to do in that scenario is walk Hamilton and then have to face Pujols and then Trumbo
batting him in front of Kendrick just reinforces the fact that no one is going to pitch to him, b/c while Kendrick is a solid bat, he gives opposing pitchers no reason to pitch to Hamilton,
