Trout be Troutin'.

He's the best player since Bonds and it's really not close.

Gearrin had a clean inning and everything :tsk:

He is better than Harper, granted...

But “really not close”? Really?

I never noticed Ohtani’s nod to the ump before.

There are some things I REALLY like about Japanese baseball.

This Trout kid can rake. And I thought Gearrin only allowed inherited runners to score.
He is just used to sucking while not ruining his own numbers. Put him in a clean inning and he doesn’t know how to suck properly.

Eh, I guess Harper is kind of close. OK, I amend it to 'really not very close'

Ohtani would have really been a gem to get our hands on

He was smart to go to an AL team so he could just pitch and hit, not worry about fielding.

Huge part of the reason that Hunter Green dropped batting when he was drafted by the Reds, but Brendan McKay has continued to do both with the Rays.

Granted, Green wanted to play shortstop, and that would be near impossible unless the kid trained 16 hours a day. But the point remains.

It would have been really tough for the Giants and Ohtani to pull it off. Being able to DH makes it a million times easier. but even so, it would have been fun to see. Plus, he's a lights out pitcher anyway. So if it didn't work, at least the Giants would suddenly have had a 23 year old Ace on their hands

Remember the days dreaming of Noah Lowry, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, Jonathan Sanchez and Merkin Valdez leading the rotation for the next decade? That was fun
