A poop free mound, please.
I think he will come down with a mystery injury before they boot him. A DFA would be kinda brutal.Nice pitching by Ray, though I do not like the walks.
Birdy doing well in relief.
Flowers with another HR and RBI.
Wade is barely above .100 (.103), I guess he gets through April to right himself, but this is just brutal.

He’s been walking some latelyHe's been pretty steady, I have wondered whether there is some injury he is "working through". He's not just not hitting, he isn't drawing walks, either. Something is off so far with LWJ
Re Adames, I am beginning to fidget a bit in my chair, but I think I will give at least through May (maybe through June) before I really start getting worried.Patrick Bailey’s strikeout rate is now up to 34.9%. There’s been a huge drop in his in-zone contract, down to 70.2% in 2025 from 88.3% last season. Uhh that’s not, as the kids say, good.
We’ve got some potential rough situations percolating with Adames, Huff, Schmitt, Bailey, Matos, Koss and LWJ.
Some of those are SSS and will revert to the player’s means. But not everyone will rebound. All those guys are sub Mendoza. Very ugly and we still have a really good record. Pitching and D, man.
I'm not worried about Adames long term, and I agree with you on the others. Bailey just might not have the bat to be a full time #1 catcher. Wade is replaceable (Jerar at DH, Flores to 1B, and someday Eldridge we hope). The others are bench guys so not a big deal.Re Adames, I am beginning to fidget a bit in my chair, but I think I will give at least through May (maybe through June) before I really start getting worried.
Bailey is already really concerning. I know catchers are/should be judged on a different scale, but he is still putting up unacceptable numbers, even for the best defensive catcher in the game. I don’t think they need to ACTIVELY search for a replacement, but if they are able to upgrade, I wouldn’t be opposed.
LWJ just isn’t worth the aggravation. For a guy who is on the shelf so much, he can’t afford to put up crap numbers during his limited field time.
The rest of the guys are in the bargain bin imho anyway, so whatever. Koss and Huff are journeymen AAAA players, and Chasey and Matos are looking like that is their future as well.
