Ah I was rooting for the Suns to get in. Grizz are the West's version of the Pacers (with better big men)...excruciating to watch. Suns vs Spurs would have been entertaining.

It is kinda scary to think how high of a seed Memphis would've been if Gasol did not miss that month or so that he missed early in the year. I have to think they would at least above GSW, POR, and possibly Houston

Probably in the 4-6 range. Id guess a 5 seed right below Houston but Portland did beat them fairly recently. The problem the Grizzlies have is 'just think how scary San Antonio would've been if the Spurs had been healthy and Pop wasn't messing around with every weird lineup he could come up with'

The Spurs also played Memphis once when both teams were at full strength and they crushed Memphis in the first quarter and ended up outrebounding them for the game and shooting over 50%. Not sure if one quarter is a good enough sample size to suggest that the Grizzlies would get swept* but the Spurs are quietly looking like a juggernaut of sorts after dropping most of their games against elite teams at the beginning of the season.

(* the playoff series last year isnt really indicative of either team this year, imo)

I think the Spurs beat whoever they play in 5 while I think OKC would need 6 to beat Memphis but even though Dallas won the season series vs OKC, I think OKC win in 5 due to Dallas inconsistency at home as of late

The Spurs played an identically hot Kings team back in 2006 that picked up Ron Artest back when that meant something and they had Bonzi Wells who was in a contract year. That series went 6 games with the Spurs obviously winning. I see it playing out in similar fashion with the Grizzlies

Houston/Portland is going to be fun to watch. I want to pick the Rockets but its hard to peg exactly how good they are. They don't resemble a traditionally good playoff team but neither does Portland.

OKC/Dallas should be a good series. Id say OKC in 7 is my inital thought but OKC really should beat them easier just based on athleticism. I might look at that one more closely if that is indeed the matchup that happens.

Clippers beat Warriors in 5 without a healthy Bogut. Maybe a sweep. Bogut seems like a big deal.

I don't think the Thunder gets out of the first round no matter who the play. Well unless they played San Antonio but that can't happen.

Both MEM and SA records were limited by their rosters (even though SA locked up the 1 seed), the difference comes in SA was using a long rotation because their players are old and can't play that many minutes. MEM was limited by Gasol being injured.

MEM went 39-19 with Gasol in the line up, .672.

That win percentage would put them in the 4 seed with 55 wins.
