I'm just here to troll everyone
Holy shit what a fun game. Anyone who doesn't like this game doesn't like the sport, plain and simple.
sure, but if the season were to end today......Both pitchers have settled in since the 1st inning. Eliminate that inning and you've got a 1-0 pitchers' duel.
says you.Too bad. Missing a really fun game.
Yes we know you're good. You only like a subset of the sport.says you.
I'm good with the decision to spend time with the wife.
Cost/benefit brother. You do you; I'll do me.Yes we know you're good. You only like a subset of the sport.
Yes I know, it's a free country, we all can like what we like. It's just odd that's all.Cost/benefit brother. You do you; I'll do me.
Indeed. I'm not the average bear.Yes I know, it's a free country, we all can like what we like. It's just odd that's all.
Below average maybe?Indeed. I'm not the average bear.
More to the point: where the phuk are the Yaz bobbles??? I neeeeeeeed one.
according to HWSNBN, I have an IQ of 99...so, yeah?Below average maybe?
I keed I keed!
Even the phrase "decently pitched 7-6 final" sounds weird but, to your point, the latter would be much more likely. But, to me, that is part of the beauty of the sport. Odds may favor a certain outcome but you have to wait out the whole game to see if something happens against those odds. Brutally bad pitching the first inning and a well pitched game the rest of the way (although Bedrosian got really lucky in the 8th inning last night).Straight up question:
How many times does a 4-4 game in the second inning end up being a good game to watch? 5% of the time?
In your gut, were you expecting a decently pitched 7-6 final, or a 12-6 shitshow?
Most of us are fans of a thing called 'baseball'. You are a fan of a thing called 'well-pitched baseball', which is a subset of the broader category.yeah, to each his own and all that. with 162 games on the schedule and an inability to see them all I gotta pick my spots.
To be fair, I am a fan of “real baseball”. Thus my hatred of AL ball, and the possibility of my dropping the game in the coming years. Most of us are fans of a thing called 'baseball'. You are a fan of a thing called 'well-pitched baseball', which is a subset of the broader category.
Indeed, NL baseball is also a subset of 'baseball'.To be fair, I am a fan of “real baseball”. Thus my hatred of AL ball, and the possibility of my dropping the game in the coming years.
I guess it depends upon what you mean by "fan." If you mean "appreciator," then no, I am not a "fan" of HR derby baseball. Or the DH. If you mean "watching no matter what" then I also am not that type of "fan." If you mean someone who follows the team every day and watches/listens to 80+% of the games, I'm in. I'd guess most people would consider that a "fan." Your mileage may vary. Most of us are fans of a thing called 'baseball'. Uh, oh. another "subset fan."To be fair, I am a fan of “real baseball”. Thus my hatred of AL ball, and the possibility of my dropping the game in the coming years.
Fan, aficionado, whatever...I'm simply pointing out the obvious truth about you. You don't enjoy all forms of baseball games. Most of us do.I guess it depends upon what you mean by "fan."
