31-15

It wasn't pretty, and in the end, it doesn't need to be pretty, just win. We're not the only top 10 team to struggle this week. And at least we kept our streak of 30+ points alive, as well as winning each game by 16+.

Golson had his moments, both good and bad. Fumbles, INT's, a pick 6. Not good.

Golson: 32-39 362 yards 4 TD's 2 INT's

The rushing numbers look similar to what they've looked like the last few weeks.

Bryant: 11 carries 55 yards
Folston: 9 carries 41 yards
McDaniel: 8 carries 3 yards

Robinson: 8 catches 91 yards 1 TD
Fuller: 6 catches 119 yards 2 TD's

Defense looked good, again. Offensive line is struggling to open any kind of holes. This team is starting to look similar to the '12 team. Good defense, suspect offense, Golson making good and bad plays.

Let's prepare for Stanford. Going to be a very difficult game

Difference between this team and 2012 though is they are more reliant on Golson to run the offense rather than be a game manager. They'll go as far as he takes them. I for one think the turnovers yesterday were a bit fluky for him or a lack of focus. Under pressure he's done well this year, although the only game where you could say that was an issue was Purdue.

this was our off game but the good thing is we still dominated the game. Lets hope they got this out of the way and prepare for stanford our 1st test. I want to be undefeated when we play FSU. I think if we lose go 11-1 and lose to FSU at FSU in a close game we still make the playoffs.

I love this Defense. I like this Defense because they are young and faster. U can see the speed on this team. The 2012 was smart but wasn't fast(hence Bama game), I do think this team is 1 year away but they do have a shot to do something this year if they continue to grow. U never know.

We are really getting ahead of ourselves talking about 11-1

We still have road games in Arizona State & USC

8-4 or 9-3 is still very possible

its k to be excited. We get past Stanford I think we end up at 11-1 or 10-2. i do think we are 1 years away and thats with Golson staying. Golson leaves for some odd reason it will hurt.

Yeah, this years defense is definitely faster than the '12 defense.

And Farley continues to play well, much better than last season.

This defense is suited for him. He is playing almost lights out. He has to continue to be a starter.

With all due respect so far we've play four pretty shitty teams. I wouldn't want to make any predictions off of that. We have plenty of tougher opponents left. All you have to do is take a look at all the mistakes we made and look at some of the teams that got beat this weekend. Boston College, Boise State, Michigan, Pittsburgh were all solid favorites that went down. This team isn't good enough to have a hiccup.

u can't be happy about 4-0 then I don't know when u can be happy. I don't think anyone is saying they are the best team in the country but they have better then most thought. Im happy how this team has played. I agree we need to beat a good team and this week coming up is big. I think this game shows us what ND is about.

Overall lets just be happy. Its an exciting time for ND football. People forget how young this team is. we got some real talent on this team.

Yeah even if we beat Stanford I wouldn't be talking 11-1/12-0 yet.

Stanford is solid but their offense is shit. Really good defense though and oh yeah the game is at home.

We have 3 extremely tough road games. We can easily lose all 3.....Also you have to consider that we have no clue how this team will play in a hostile environment because we did not play 1 true road game yet.

I think we beat Stanford but probably lose to FSU and USC/ASU. I will be happy with 10-2

Have you see ASU's defense? They gave up 60+ points to a UCLA team that's had absolutely no offense. They are nowhere near as good as expected. They most likely will have their QB Kelly back when we play though. But they don't look anywhere near as good as Stanford.

Hope I'm wrong and we go 11-1 or 12-0 though

I'm not sure how you get that out of what I write. I am happy. I just don't think we've played any formidable competition as of yet. I expected this team to be better than what most predicted. All I am saying is we honestly have no yardstick yet because when you look at the teams we did beat they have all turned out to be some pretty rotten football teams. What we do against Stanford , Florida State , USC and Louisville. Simply put we have played the easiest part of the schedule thus far. But am I happy? Most certainly I am.

Haha .... I still can't bring myself to say his name since he pissed me off so bad and soooo many times from last year. I still just refer to him as "#41".

I was with you but I've started calling him by his name this year because he is making up for his terrible play last year.

If he keeps improving at this rate, soon he will be Mr. Farley. ( I did think it was a bad omen that the two players on our page here were Daniels and Farley)

Farley has definitely earned a reprieve from last year. He's excelled at the nickel, he's playing more aggressively and he's not afraid to hit. I also heard he played hurt a lot last year which would explain the shying away from contact. I hope he keeps it up. Still iffy in one on one situations, but great in zone coverage.
