True, but it is hard to argue against the fact that he beat 1 winning the rest of his career after winning the Super Bowl.

He was at his best in the 60s, the Jets won in 69, the Namath most of us saw was from the 70s.

I don't understand his argument against Cris Carter. He never played in a Super Bowl, but that was hardly his fault. He had a revolving door of QBs his whole career and the only one who sniffed the HOF was Warren Moon, who was way past his prime by that point.

He was second in every major receiving category to The GOAT at the time of his retirement.
