I will grant that the team batting average with RISP has increased, but our run production has not. Imagine this:

Lead off single, steals 2nd

Infield single, runners at 1st and 3rd (1-1 with RISP, no runs)

Infield single loads the bases (2-2 with RISP, no runs)

1-2-3 DP runners at 2nd and 3rd (2-3 with RISP, no runs)

Ground out

2-4 with RISP, three hits, no runs

Average with RISP is meaningless unless it gets runs in, and this year's team has been terrible at getting runners in.

I do wonder how much inherited runners scoring plays into WAR. This bullpen has been atrocious in that category and has looked all around awful lately.
