No, even if he wins FMVP…he still isn’t the best player. It doesn’t change anything. It changes he can lead a team to a championship but most importantly it says more about Boston getting over the hump and the core being the real deal for years to come.

The new guy is taking his fandom of Tatum to the same level buckboy had for Giannis.

Getting over the hump as soon as the best player in the world hits his peak.

23-24ish is usually when a player comes into peak/prime

He had top two advanced stats in the regular season (2nd to only jokic).

And now he outplayed Durant/Giannis/butler and eliminated them

Only a f'n clown would say he's not the best in the damn world

Similar impact I would

Dominant defense and very good offense

Although I would say Tatum clearly has better offense.

I flat out would take tatum over Duncan. He would shit on Duncan just like Kobe used to do every year.

Every player is different, so no 23/24 isn’t peak for every player and no he isn’t the best player. He isn’t even the best player in this series. You are the only clown saying he’s the best and an all-time great. The thing is you said you know more about bball than every other sport but it isn’t showing. You are nothing but a delusional player fan know-it-all that knows less. Stop embarrassing yourself. I can see why you left forums, you were a joke on those boards too. Already a joke on this board

Oh hell no. We went though this the other day. Compare their numbers through the same amount of seasons, which is five.

And stop with the defensive nonsense.

TD: 5x all D selection (4x first team)

JT: no all D team selections

"he would shit on Duncan" :L

Just go away. TD's the greatest PF of all time. JT isn't even a top 5 Celtic of all time.

TD robbed manu of finals mvp in 2005

So he really only has two legit mvps (1999 and 2003).

Tatum at 24 years old is on pace to catch that.

All defense teams are made for mostly role players, I already told you that.

Current Tatum is on a better playoff run then Duncan ever had.

By the same age TD had already accomplished more. But you choose to ignore that.

You called the heart & soul of the Celtics, and the DOY, a role player.

Michael Jordan, the GOAT, was a 9x 1st team all D selection.

Just go away. Your homerism of Tatum is asinine.

Well you also said Tatum was going to have a good game one. He went 3-17. You're a jinx.

LeBron is37 and - for 1 series I would still take him over TAtum- for a whole season I would take Tatum because LeBron no longer has the juice to play every night 100%

but i mean- LeBron just had a 30 pt, 8 rebound 6 assist season at age 37. Tatum has never done that in his life and probably never will- and LeBron is doing that at 37.

You can criticize LeBron- and I DEFINITELY do- but his team sucked this year.

If you switch Tatum and LeBron - the Lakers still dont make the playoffs- and i absolutely think the Celtics are still in the Finals.

LeBron has so many great playoff series. I have yet to see Tatum have 1 truly great playoff series. His last one against the Heat--- 25, 6, 8 is pretty close to the Bucks series.

That series against Boston- where he went into Boston and won game 6---- LeBron was at 34, 11, 4 for the series. In the Finals that year he was at 29-10-8

against GSW in the Finals he went for 30-11-9....followed that up with 34-10-12 the next year.

Tatum will NEVER EVER do stuff like that in the NBA Finals.

Let me know when Tatum averages a triple double with 30+ points in 2 straight finals

so far- his finals exerpience is a forgettable 3/17 performance where Al Horford bailed his ass out.

Tatum's performance against the Heat was good--- but in reality---- the numbers he put up are a sub-par LeBron series. Numbers dont lie.

25-8-6 on 47% shooting is a pretty crappy LeBron series. Its the best we have seen out of Tatum.

The swimmer cuck is the only guy to ever lose gold for us americans

Duncan walked onto a team with prime David Robinson who was just as good as he was. Then Manu was always better per minute then Duncan as well.

I always felt Duncan was one of the more overrated players in nba history. I was actually giving Duncan a compliment by comparing him to the superior player in Tatum.

Duncan's little outdated post moves is inefficient offense and would never work in today's game. He also wouldn't be able to guard three point line unless he really got skinny like his 2014-2016 self but then he would be much worse offensively because he wouldn't be able to use his strength.
