Well I can see why a Laker fan would see it that way lol. So back in the day I rooted for the Lakers over my grandpas Celtics and we actually used to argue about it so maybe this is my way of dealing with that lol.

I know, I’m torn but they were my Grandpas team and I feel that level of hate for the Warriors. I also love how this particular Celtics team plays. Requesting a pass this one time for all the above.

I’m a Sixers fan and a Sixers fan only. I really just want to be entertained. Warriors have Philly roots and they aren’t the Cs so that’s where my rooting interest is.

Social media and NBA media is a mixed bag and kind of all over the place with predictions, rankings, etc.

I think either way whichever team wins the finals will have deserved it. Both teams are incredible defensive teams and have lots of individual talent as well. The other thing is that both teams are home grown. Both teams have most of their key components as guys they drafted or developed. Pretty incredible in this day and age of the NBA.

A lot of the analysts and the prediction models love the Celtics. I've been saying on this thread the Warriors are the heavy underdogs, but you guys don't believe me! It's actually fun to see them as the underdog, though. Hopefully, they are extra motivated.

Check out these projections by the stat nerds. ESPN has the Celtics at 85.9% to win the title. 538 has the Celtics at 79% chance to win. I'm thinking that these prediction models are missing something because these two teams appear to be much closer than that. 85.9% would be reasonable if the Celtics were facing the Sacramento Kings.
