He just may be one of those guys who is content getting paid and posting big numbers on mediocre teams.

It sure seems like it. Obviously he's happy there. To my knowledge, he's never asked for a trade and always seemed resistant to the idea of being traded...even to contenders.

???

Thats like saying you are rooting for the Yankees because you don’t want to see the same teams winning it every year.
No it isn't. Just bc Boston won in the past means nothing. This is a different team that those big 3 teams, which I disliked. This is a young team built mainly through the draft. The Warriors have been there and done that. The C's haven't won in 14 years.

He gets away with so much.

I totally understand why his wife is salty about the Fuck Draymond chants.

It's disgusting.

But, with the shit that comes out of this guys mouth towards opponents and his own fucking teammates * Durant * during games?

She should have known better than to take her children to a game in Boston of all places.

Yeah the F Draymond chants are a bit over the top.

But I gotta say he knida brings it upon himself.

He's a damn good player. And it's disappointing to see him act the way he does. It's unnecessary.

Neither have the Spanks. They haven’t won since ‘09. But saying you would like them to win because you want to see fresh blood win is going to get some sideways glances.

i think it all hangs on Steph’s injury. If he is actually hobbled, than the series is probably over. If he is able to gut it out and the Dubs win tonight, than I think the Dubs pull it out.

Tonights winner likely wins the series.

Steph's a great player... and he has been rolling...

... but it's a lot to keep expected him to be great every game... and you can tell he's expending so much energy that he has been gassed by the 4th quarter.

That's my feeling too if the Ws find a way to win tonight I think they eke out the series in 7. Lose tonight and it's ovah.

Careful though. Keep making over the top predictions like this and @Manster7588 will be knocking you down a peg

Butler might of had better peak game in the series but overall he did not outplay Tatum. .

Tatum had the same points on better efficiency (+4 TS%) and also averaged more rebounds and more assists. No case for butler for overall series due to his lows being so bad.

You can't skip over the fact that he absolutely destroyed Durant. A lot of people were calling Durant the best in the world the last 3-4 years. Tatum made him look like just another guy.

As far as Giannis, it was close but Tatum outplayed him in 4/7 wins. I have a write-up on this on a blog actually:

Default Tatum outplayed Giannis in 4/7 games
If you out-play someone the majority of the games (at least 4) then I would say you won the duel. So in this case, Tatum outplayed Giannis.

Game 2: Tatum 29 points 65% TS and 11 BPM VS Giannis 28 points on 45% TS

Tatum clearly outplayed Giannis here as Giannis was awful

Game 4: Tatum had 10 points in 4th quarter taking over and winning. 28 on 56% TS a 10% higher TS over Giannis 46% TS

Game 6: Tatum had 46 points on 66% TS and hit huge clutch shots. This one also edge to Tatum

Game 7: Tatum had a great passing game and set up grant Williams for a lot of his shots. Giannis had a great 1st quarter but was terrible after that with more shots then points at 25 points on 26 shots. Tatum had two less points on 12 less shots so just a way more efficient + better passing game then Giannis

So let’s unpack this a bit. A pretty large chunk of your narrative is based on your concept that Tatum outplayed Giannis in 4 out of 7 games.

But…

You use an ever changing standard for each game you claim.

Never mind the fact that Giannis averaged 33.9, 14.7 and 7.1 on 45.7% shooting

Compared to Tatum’s 27.6, 6.3, and 5.4 on 42.9% shooting.

Sorry, but that isn’t even close.

And if you want to talk about Butler, the reason his lows were so low was because he left game 3 with an injury at halftime, he clearly shouldn’t have even suited up for game 4, and he probably shouldn’t have played game 5 either.

It is one thing to use stats to paint the picture you want them to tell, but you are flat lying if you claim Tatum outplayed Giannis.

Just not even close to being true.

Dear God and Baby Jesus,

Please don’t let the Celtics win another title. Help Draymond pull his head out of his ass and get Klay and Poole going again. The world doesn’t need another title for Mass Holes. Fuck Boston. Amen
Covid22 is a winner for all. Postpone the NBA finals
