Any one want a cursed tv? Not mine, My mother-in-law. I have watched two playoff games at her house and Kings have lost both.

The only clear solution is that you should NEVER go back to the In Laws' house again.

coyotes got the bounces today and a good game from smith but they still almost lost. I will be shocked if the Kings don't close this out in game 5.

Not a Big Deal
It was a noon start. Neither team played particularly well. The pups got a stupid penalty called against Williams early and then on a play that should have been icing but the stupid linesman got himself involved in the play and didn’t signal it, Quick had to go out and play it. Yes, he could have played it better, but I’m not going to fault him. The other goal was just a fluke bounce off a King’s stick.

smith made a lot of saves, but it’s not as though the Kings got that many good opportunities, which I attribute more to the stupid early start time than good defensive play by the pups. I don’t think he played that well.

The Kings just didn’t have much fire in the first two periods. I really wish Sutter would have called a timeout after the second goal to settle the guys down and reinvigorate them. Let them know they hadn’t done anything wrong, per se, but that they needed to start getting pucks down low instead of constantly sending them back to the points for slap shots that were being blocked.

It’s ok though, time to go back on the road and continue their NHL-record winning streak there. They can probably focus a little better with a normal start time on Tuesday and without all the fanfare of an expectant crowd on home ice.

How do you "almost lose" a game you win 2-0???? :noidea:

I agree the Coyotes are still in a damn tough spot, but that is just a silly comment.

I am not sure either that the Yotes almost lost. I saw the Yotes play a better game and outmatched the intensity of the Kings. However, I did see that what the Kings did well (getting in front of Smith) didn't happen this game. Secondly, there were a lot of rebounds for the taking but no King was there in position.

Just my thoughts

Game 5 should be interesting!

It would have been nice to see the Kings win it at home.

There's nothing to say that still isn't possible. ;)

Why anyone would want that though, I don't know????.....:noidea:

It's just so cool to see a team win a series in front of the home crowd.

I had almost forgotten what a loss feels like. I’ll bet the Kings had too. It had, after all, been more than a month since the last time they had lost a game. That has to be the longest any of them has ever gone in their lives, outside of the offseason, without losing a game (most likely, anyway). The franchise has never had a run like that before, of that much I’m sure.

I’ll bet it hurts a lot to lose after a streak like that. And it should.

They’re not going to want that feeling again any time soon.

Hopefully they bring a world of pain down on the Coyotes on Tuesday.

it seemed to me that today was definitely the Kings’ worst forechecking effort and the Coyotes’ best. The Kings seemed to have more problems than usual finding the outlet man in their own zone to start the break the other way, which resulted in turnovers and off-target passes.

Also, Mike Smith. You knew coming in to this series that he might steal one.

Clippers out, so too the Lakers, looks like the Kings of Sacramento are the only ones standing.

maybe now all of LA can focus their powers on one team, one sport.
