Yes....goal for next year should be to keep hitting 3s at a 35-37% rate while taking more of them.Mobley is that exceedingly rare defensive player who can both guard the rim and guard wings on the perimeter at an elite level.
On the offensive end- they have really worked on his 3 pt shot-- they rarely unleash it in games but its coming-- he went from 26% to 37% this season on limited attempts.
Mobley is a step in his offensive game and a high step in his defensive game from being a true force and he is 22. Mr. Weak Ankles was 25 before he did anything. It is rare the player that is a super star at 22.
Hopefully this series is a long and good series------ but looking towards next year-- if Mobley his healthy, keeps focusing on his 3 and aggressiveness, the sky is the limit.
Celts are still huge huge favorites to win the series for very good reasons. It feels like many are saying the Celts are screwed due to the blow out loss at home
Don't count out the Cavs, who may have the Celtics right where they want them
Recently, when it seemed like the bottom would fall out on the Cavs' season, they've responded. It happened again Thursday.theathletic.com
that would huge for the Cavs- it would make the Allen/Mobley combo so much more dangerous if Mobley was someone that needed to be guarded from the outside- it is really the key to unlocking the Cavaliers from a good team to a possibly great team.Yes....goal for next year should be to keep hitting 3s at a 35-37% rate while taking more of them.
was just listening to Craig Mannix.....have heard of him but not sure how much he knows. FWIW said he will eventually be an all star and then all NBA. We'll see.that would huge for the Cavs- it would make the Allen/Mobley combo so much more dangerous if Mobley was someone that needed to be guarded from the outside- it is really the key to unlocking the Cavaliers from a good team to a possibly great team.
people seem to be low on Mobley because he is not prime Anthony Davis at 22 years old.....his ceiling is still extremely high--- but he does need to work on his shot and his aggressiveness- no one disputes that.
was actually thinking about this today...if someone said I can guarantee a split in games 3 and 4 or take my chances which would I prefer.I just want the Cavs to make it to Game 6 at home......I hope they can do that and win one of the next 3.....if they can do that and get a Game 6 at home- I think the pressure is ratcheted up on Boston.
Mitchell is amazing. But I would give him all the two s he wants. Halftime the coaches need to make clear not to take his deeks. What a halfIf I were the Celtics I would simply not let Donovan Mitchell score than thus win by about 100…
