Another outstanding matchup. Two great lineups and pitching staffs. I think my lineup is a little stronger and pitching is a little better. Very close

I give a slight edge to UK here, love his 1 - 4 and his rotation is better.

Its a shame the score is the way it is I don't think this is such a landslide win.

This is the closest matchup IMO. I'm going with smitty. Kershaw is putting up pedroesqe numbers. This is a reminder to pay attention when he takes the mound. I hope he stays healthy...

I would have voted for myself against everyone but UK and Steve. (I love the speed and the rotation.)

UKs lineup is unbelievable. And his rotation is very, very, very good. (I dont put Carlton as high as some do. Thats not a knock. He was a helluva pitcher for a long time.)His base running ability 8,9,1,2,3 really seals the deal. (I didn't mind dealing Tony Gwynn, since Sisler is so comparable as a hitter, with more speed. But that deal really finished off a great lineup for UK.). Almost impossible for Lou to come to bat without men in scoring position.

Plus he's got the best SS/2nd base combo in MLB history.

I set myself up with speed and power. (Bonds, most homers in a season. Wilson, most RBI in a season. Maris, most homers in a season without juicing.... No shortstop in this Mock has more homers, no second baseman in this Mock has more homers and the second best leadoff hitter ever.). And have a rotation that can compete with the best. But UKs starting team is prolly the best I've seen from anyone in a mock yet. The best leadoff hitter ever. One of the most complete players ever in center, hitting third and one of the games best cleanup hitters. Plus Pie Traynor, who was the best thirdbaseman ever for about four or five decades.

For what it's worth, Kershaw is the best Dodgers starter of all time now, IMO.

For all the nice things you said about my squad, I had our matchup a toss up, which should tell ya what I thought of your squad.

I agree on Traynor, the best 3rd baseman till Brett and Schmidt showed up. And Harry Heilmann, this dude hit .342 for 17 years....for perspective, Tony Gwynn, the best hitter since Ted Williams, hit .338 for his career

That's the best part, learning about these great players. And I agree withyou on Kershaw . Right there with Koufax.....at 25!
